They Might Be Giants (1971)

Here's my last review for a Periscope Studio art book Kickstarter backer -- it's They Might Be Giants for Christian L, a long-time supporter of my work and cool dude!  I had never heard of this movie before, and I actually needed Christian's help to get hold of a copy of it, but it was really good.  There was some really nice acting and a plot that kept me guessing how things would develop. :) Read on for some spoiler-filled reaction comics!
I liked these two so much!  The random side characters were fun, and I liked when they all came back at the end for the marching-through-the-streets scene.

 Oh Grace.
Take me back to 1971!!

2 years of Spoilers!

Wow, Spoilers is two years old today!!  Back on June 9, 2012, I posted a bunch of comics to my old art blog that I'd drawn after watching Prometheus.  They were off-the-cuff responses to the film, drawn in my bed with a ballpoint pen, but the online response was overwhelmingly positive.  I was surprised how many people shared the comics and wrote to me wanting to talk about the film.  There was a special energy to it, and it convinced me to keep doing reaction comics to movies now and then for fun.
Since then, I've made reaction comics (and a couple animations) to 31 movies!  It's a really fun exercise for me and helps me blow off steam between my other projects.  This blog has even helped me find work reviewing movies professionally.  Plus, I've begun allowing readers to choose movies for me, and I've watched a bunch of great movies I might never have seen otherwise. :)

Basically, I want to say THANK YOU for following the blog thus far, and for all of your support, from the comments and emails to the shares/likes/reblogs/links to the financial support via the Periscope Kickstarter last fall and the "choose a movie for me to review" option I offer.  Half of the fun is interacting with you all, and I like knowing what you think of the films.  I hope the future holds many more reviews and lots of fun for you and me.

Special thanks to Jamie S. Rich, Sarah Mirk, and Erik Henriksen, without whom this wouldn't have been possible!  Also to the incredible artists I've gotten to review movies with: Boulet, Nicolas Hitori de, and Madeleine Flores!
